Saturday, Nov. 22nd, 4:00 pm - Its on!!!

This will be very short and to the point - Its on.

Although BYU will come into the game as the underdog, we all know how most of these games turn out. There nothing but dog fights till the end, no matter which team is "better" than the other. So let the smack begin....

I love the picture it's hilarious! And as for the game I agree it's going to be a fight to the finish like always, I am already nervous, and super excited. Usually I can't sit down the whole game.

Here's the truth (you can call it smack if you'd like). Chopper, your delusions of BYU walking out of Rice-Eccles Stadium with a victory are as ridiculous as that guys outfit.

Allow me to illustrate.

First let’s start with the “Inigo Montoya” fencing boots. To me that represents BYU’s conference championship from last year. Outdated, overshined, and the only thing they have left to stand on.

Next, the cutoff sweatpants represent Airforce taking the anticipation out of the rivalry game as they expose BYU next week as the pasty-white bloated chunks of cellulite they are.

How about the great and spacious belly. I think it represents Austin Collie’s pride. Overwhelming and somewhat scary but will be what kills them internally in the end.

I could go on but I think I’ll just close with the face paint. The face paint represents BYU as an organization on so many different levels. For this guy to be wearing face paint he had to have looked in the mirror at some point in time before leaving the house that day. He knows exactly how bothersome he looks to normal civilians and he’s happy being that way. Does that sound familiar to any “Quest for Perfectionists”?

In the end, I think you are right Chops. It will be a great game and, I might add, that the night of Nov. 22nd will be a great night to be a Ute fan.

Go Utes!!!!!

One day in an elementary school in Salt Lake City, UT, a teacher asks her class if the Utah Utes are their favorite football team. The whole class says yes, except for Little Jimmy.

The teacher asks, "What's your favorite football team Jimmy?"

Little Jimmy says, "The BYU Cougars "

The teacher asks, "Well, why is that?"

Little Jimmy says, "Well, my dad is a Cougar fan, my mom is a Cougar fan, I guess that makes me a Cougar fan."

The teacher angered by his reply says, "If your dad was a moron and your mom was an idiot what would that make you?"

Little Jimmy says, "Well, I guess that would make me a Utah fan."

Man, this time of year is awesome. All the prelude to yet another HUGE game for the Utes and Cougars. The smack talk, the stats, the passion . . . sounds like Saturday's CBAC. But I digress. This game has been on the map all season; not just because it is the rivalry game, but because both teams knew the balance of the MWC Championship (and quite possibly BCS implications as well) lied within the endzone lines at Rice-Eccles this season.

BYU was the early and heavy favorite but after several lack luster games and a big fat egg in Ft Worth, the game isn't as cut and dry as Cougar fans would have thought early in the season as we ROUTED UCLA. Sure, the Cougars looked dominant once again on both sides of the ball against SDSU, but that was SDSU on the field. The true measure of the defense will be stopping an obviously, one-sided Air Force attack.

The Utes have shown some flashes of brilliance this season but thus far their defense has been so stout and they've shown the heart and soul to grind out wins at the end of close games. If only Andy Ludwig could pull his head out and turn this offense loose . . . it feels like he's saving half the playbook just to unload on the bitter rivals to the south.

The past three years have brought us exciting, close, nail-biting finishes that have been forever cemented into the memories of Cougar and Ute fans alike: Brett Ratliff the unlikely hero three years ago; Harline on his knees catching Beck's prayer as he was doubled up; and who can forget 4th and 18 last season? This year's game has all the drama of two dominant teams that always play their best games on the last game of the season.

BYU 24
Utah 17

Go Cougars!

That is the grossest thing I have ever seen! I think you have failed to mention how nerdy and obnoxious BYU fans can be. (A little refresher, the "wahooo" people we sat next to last year at BYU.) At least Utah fans know how to have fun without looking like dorks. Half of them may be drunk, but at least they are interesting to listen to!

Scuba,

Sucks that you were so wrong about BYU vs. AFA. BYU beat the cadets by more than your pukes did buddy... that sucks.

If you think BYU doesn't have a shot, you are dilusional. The teams are more evenly matched right now that they ever have been (that I can remember). And we all know how this rivalry is. I would be a bit more afraid of your yewts being overconfident.

Go Cougars!!! Make it three in a row!!! As a side note, good luck yewt bball against future powerhouses like Southwest Baptist. What a huge embarrising failure!
